Mary Anastasiou, M.D.

I was born in Leicester, England and lived there the first few years of my life. I come from a medical family and wanted to be a doctor from a very young age. My father is a surgeon and I always enjoyed talking with him regarding different diseases and treatments. My parents are of Greek origin and after we moved back my father opened a clinic where I spent a lot of time. I received my MD degree at the University of Athens Medical School and after marrying Dr. Stephen came to California and did my Internship, Residency and Chief Residency at Kaiser Hospital, Oakland. When I completed my training I joined my husband in private practice in Pleasanton and we have been working together since then. I am a member of The Alameda Contra Costa Medical Association, California Medical Association and American Academy of Pediatrics Chapter 1.

I enjoy living in the Bay Area and participating in a lot of school and community functions. We have two wonderful children who grew up in Pleasanton and are also in the medical profession. I like to travel, swim and spend time with family and friends. I speak English, Greek and French. I love to take care of babies, children, adolescents and their families and help them grow up into happy and healthy adults.
