At age 10, I visited an orphanage in my parents native,India. I was shocked and overwhelmed. I had always had many hobbies, art, reading and tennis, but that visit helped determine my focus. I became motivated to become not just a doctor, but specifically a pediatrician. As a southern California native, I attended UCLA ( go, Bruins!) and graduated in Biochemistry. Subsequently, I attended St Georges University School of Medicine, and completed my post graduate training in pediatrics at the University of California, Irvine. During that time I volunteered in orphanages and various organizations.
I have practiced pediatrics in the Bay Area since 2003. In addition to my practice here at Tri-Valley Pediatrics, I find other ways to serve our community. In 2010, I founded the Rotacare Free Medical Clinic in Pittsburg and served as Medical Director. Currently, I serve as a board member for the John Muir Community Health Fund, helping to strategically improve health care in this community. In addition, I currently work as part of the physician leadership team at Hill Physicians Medical Group.
I love working with kids of all ages and watching your babies mature into young adults. More specifically, I am interested in helping your kids stay emotionally and physically healthy.
I enjoy collaborating with you to determine what is best for your family.
When I am not working, I love family time with my husband and 2 daughters, all of whom bring light and joy into my heart. More often than not, you’ll find me escaping on my yoga mat, bike or with a good movie.
I look forward to seeing your smile in the office.
