I was born in Walnut Creek, CA and grew up in the East Bay until moving to the Foothills in middle school. Even before middle school, I knew I wanted to be a pediatrician. I always admired my pediatrician as she effectively treated my recurrent ear infections. I also enjoyed caring for my younger cousins and helping my aunt babysit.

My introduction to professional medicine came when I volunteered in a hospital and pediatric clinic in high school. From witnessing a newborn delivery to following a child through his or her developmental achievements, I knew pediatrics was my calling. I continued to work with children in college, at the University of Southern California, where I majored in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention. I volunteered at the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, was on the board of the Premedical Honor Society, Alpha Epsilon Delta, and helped organize a medical brigade to Honduras. After USC, I moved to Chicago, where I continued to pursue my dream of becoming a pediatrician at Northwestern’s Feinberg School of Medicine. As much as I enjoyed Chicago’s beauty and spirit, it was too cold and far from family for this California native, so I returned to USC for residency.

As a pediatric resident at Los Angeles County + USC, I had the opportunity to serve a wonderfully diverse community. While there, I helped implement a Newborn Care Package, which provided a safe sleeping space for newborns of low-income families. Additionally, I led a project on the benefits of frenotomy in infants with tongue-tie.

Apart from medicine, I enjoy learning new culinary recipes, exercising, binge watching HGTV, and photography.

I am thrilled to be working at Tri-Valley Pediatrics, where I am surrounded by fellow pediatricians who share the same enthusiasm for medicine, are approachable, and loved by families and children alike.

I look forward to meeting you and your family.
