Allergy symptoms arise from the autoimmune system reacting to triggers, causing an allergic reaction to various allergens. If your child has the following responses, they undoubtedly suffer from an allergic reaction.

To diagnose and treat allergies correctly, our doctors must complete an in-depth medical evaluation and history of symptoms. Allergy or skin testing is not painful or uncomfortable except if we test for a specific allergen and it shows a positive reaction; that skin spot becomes itchy and red for a few minutes.

First, we must determine if an allergen creates these symptoms, and you, the parent, can help us narrow down the allergen by keeping a journal of the child's symptoms and noting what you think prompted a response. We can test for that allergen possibility.
