I was born and raised in the Bay Area, but have spent much of my adult life exploring the East Coast. After graduating from high school in California, I moved to New York City to attend college at New York University. I fell in love with the museums and art galleries of the city and decided to major in art history. In between art classes and visits to museums, I volunteered with high school students and tutored children. During these volunteer and tutoring experiences I developed a genuine curiosity for childhood health and development. After graduating college and initially exploring a career in architecture, I realized that I wanted a career that focused on the well-being of children, so I decided to go back to school to ultimately become a pediatrician. I continued my journey on the East Coast by attending medical school at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia.
After many years away from my family in California, I returned to the Bay Area for my pediatric residency at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland. During my residency I developed a special interest in adolescent medicine with our extensive training in our teen clinic. As a new mother of two young children, I am also passionate about helping families navigate the exciting early months of parenting, with a special interest in breastfeeding.
I now live in Oakland with my wonderful husband, two sons, and two dogs. When I’m not at work, I try to take advantage of all that the Bay Area has to offer. From beautiful hikes, delicious restaurants, and quiet neighborhood strolls, I feel very lucky to call this place home.
I am very excited to be part of the team at Tri-Valley Pediatrics. It is an honor to treat your family alongside such a wonderful group of pediatricians and I look forward to meeting you!
